Short Messaging Service Policy

SHORT MESSAGING SERVICE (SMS) USAGE TERMS

 ABAQUS Inc.™ MYGEOTRACKING SERVICES PLATFORM

Abaq.us myGeoTracking Services Platform makes every effort to comply with the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) Consumer Best Practices Guideline for the use of text messages for conducting its word-of-mouth marketing campaign. To review these guidelines, go to http://www.mmaglobal.com/bestpractices.pdf.

In the following document, ‘mGT’ or ‘mGT’ will imply myGeoTracking (mGT) Services Platform OR a 3rd party branded application which uses the mGT platform and its API for features including messaging, location-services, provisioning, business analytics etc.

Messages Delivered by myGeoTracking Platform

Case 1: Upon receiving activation notification from a wireless carrier, myGeoTracking may send text messages to advise its subscriber that their mGT accounts or the accounts on behalf of mGT clients have been activated. Generally, these messages are sent via 3rd party messaging Aggregators or the messaging gateway owned by the wireless carrier that provisioned the order for mGT client’s services. Except for these activation confirmation messages, mGT does not send any text messages on its own.

Case 2: mGT allows its mobile device application subscribers to share addresses and other relevant content with other parties using text messaging via mGT’s short code address. For example, if John Doe wants to share the address of a new dispatch address, he can send the address to his drivers from within the www.myGeoTracking.com application. When Tom Smith receives the message, it will be sent from the Abaq.us mGT short code, but opening the message will reveal that John Doe originated it.

In both Case 1 and Case 2 above, the standard messaging rates (charges) imposed by the wireless carrier, if any, for delivering or accepting a message will apply.

Ending Message Delivery

Every message sent via Abaq.us short code includes instructions to reply STOP to stop future messages being sent on behalf of Abaq.us’ myGeoTracking service customers. When Abaq.us receives a STOP message via a reply to its short code, Abaq.us is compelled by the MMA guidelines to inform the recipient of the original message that no additional messages will be sent, and to not deliver any further messages for any reason.

Obtaining Help

If a message recipient wishes to get HELP on the mGT services to better explain why he received the message, the recipient can send reply with HELP to the message, or any other person can send HELP to the Abaq.us mGT short code at any time. Abaq.us mGT service will respond with a message that directs the sender to this portion of the mGT.com web site.

Restarting Services

If a recipient, or any other person, has sent STOP, CANCEL, or any other word that could be reasonably interpreted as meaning the recipient wanted text messages from mGT’s short code to cease, but later determines that he does want to receive messages from mGT’s short code, the party wishing to restart services should send RESTART as the subject of a text message to mGT’s short code.
